TCB Certification Examination Process Guideline

(Aligned with ISO/IEC 17024 Examination Integrity Requirements)

1. Purpose

This guideline defines the stringent examination process adopted by TCB Cert. Worldwide to ensure the highest level of credibility, impartiality, authenticity, and integrity in personnel certification examinations conducted through ClassMarker Examination Software.

The process is fully aligned with the risk control expectations of ISO/IEC 17024, which requires certification bodies to identify, assess, and control all risks related to training, examination, and certification decisions.

2. Examination Mode

  • All examinations are conducted online through ClassMarker software.
  • The examination is virtually invigilated live by an authorized TCB Invigilator for the entire duration.

3. Examination Access Process

  1. The examination link and password will be shared by the TCB Invigilator.
  2. Access will be granted only after identity verification.

4. Candidate Identity Verification

Candidates must present a valid Photo ID issued by national or international authorities, such as:

  • Passport
  • Civil ID / National Identity Card
  • Driving Licence

The Invigilator will:

  • Verify the ID visually.
  • Capture the candidate’s photograph in real time.
  • Match the ID with the registered candidate details.

Failure to establish identity will result in denial of examination access.

5. Environmental & Surroundings Check

Before the examination begins:

  • A 360-degree surrounding check will be conducted.
  • The candidate must show the examination room via webcam.
  • The place must be: Quiet Free from external disturbance Free from unauthorized materials or persons

This ensures a proctored examination environment.

6. Technical Proctoring Requirements

The following must remain active for the entire examination:

  • Webcam — ON at all times
  • Microphone / Speaker — ON at all times

Any attempt to disable audio/video may lead to disqualification.

7. Examination Preparation Pathways

Candidates may prepare through any of the following routes:

  • Self-learning
  • Guided external learning
  • Training courses offered by TCB
  • Programs approved by TCB

While attending a TCB course provides structured guidance, it is not mandatory for examination eligibility.

8. Examination Format

  • The examination is Open Book.
  • Permitted references: Personal notes Applicable national/international standards
  • Not permitted: External help Online browsing Public domain documentation access

9. Examination Navigation Process

  • Candidates will log in using: Name Email address Examination password
  • Each page will display: One question Answer options
  • Candidates must answer before proceeding.

10. Bookmarking Feature

  • Questions can be bookmarked.
  • Candidates may return to review or change answers.

11 Submission Safety

  • A confirmation prompt will appear before final submission.
  • This prevents accidental submission.

12. Break Policy

  • Short breaks are permitted only for emergencies.
  • Breaks are not recommended as the timer continues running.

13. Timer Control

  • Each examination has a fixed duration timer.
  • Candidates are advised to monitor time regularly.
  • Effective time management is essential.

14. Power Failure / Technical Disruption

In case of power or system failure:

  • Answers already submitted are auto-saved.
  • Candidates may receive an additional opportunity to complete the exam.

Recommendation: Write the exam at a location where power failure risk is minimal.

15. Automated Evaluation & Certification

  • Question papers are marked automatically by the software.
  • Results are generated instantly.
  • Certificates are issued automatically upon passing.
  • Certificates are sent to the registered email address.

Candidates must ensure:

  • Correct spelling of name
  • Correct email address
  • No typographical errors

16. Pass Mark Criteria

Pass marks vary depending on:

  • Course rigor level
  • Certification scheme requirements
  • Competency depth expected

17. Malpractice & Disqualification

The following are considered serious violations:

1. Collusion

Consulting or communicating with others during the exam.

2. Plagiarism

Copying answers or using unauthorized public domain material.

3. Impersonation
  • Writing the exam on behalf of another candidate.
  • Allowing someone else to write on your behalf.

Any malpractice will result in:

  • Immediate disqualification
  • Examination cancellation
  • Certification denial
